Galbot's G1 represents an innovative semi-humanoid approach to robotic automation, combining a wheeled mobile base with dual arms for versatile manipulation tasks. Developed by Beijing Galaxy General Robot Co., the G1 is powered by proprietary Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models including GraspVLA for intelligent object manipulation and GroceryVLA for retail operations, enabling it to handle over 5,000 different types of goods with remarkable adaptability. The robot features advanced multi-modal perception systems for 360-degree environmental awareness and can be deployed in new environments within just one day. With successful commercial deployment in Beijing stores and expansion plans for 100+ locations, the G1 has secured significant funding of $153 million, demonstrating strong market viability in retail automation, warehousing, and customer service applications.
