About MagicBot
Unveiled in late 2024 by Chinese startup MagicLab (Magic Atom Robotics Technology), MagicBot Gen1 is a fully electric humanoid robot engineered for real-world industrial use. Boasting 42 active degrees of freedom, it combines high-torque joint modules (up to 525 Nm peak torque) with sub-millimeter-accurate hands—equipped with miniature servo actuators and pressure sensors—to mimic over 70% of human gestures. The integrated multi-sensor suite (ultrasonic, LiDAR, binocular fisheye and RGB-D cameras) delivers 360° situational awareness, enabling autonomous navigation, cooperative multi-robot workflows, and precise manipulation in dynamic factory environments. With a 25 Ah battery, MagicBot operates continuously for up to five hours, handling loads of 20 kg per arm (40 kg total). Powered by an 8-core+8-core 100 TOPS AI computing module, it leverages 6D visual-servo and full-body imitation-learning algorithms for real-time terrain adaptation and self-optimized motion control.
